The Way of Knowledge Halfmarathon and Academic Six ― November 9th, 2009

The 10th Annual Edition of The Way Of Knowledge Half Marathon took place under the aegis of the Hungarian University Sports Federation, the Budapest Athletic Federation, and Semmelweis University on November 8th, 2009.

Edit Bérces winner of the inaugural edition of The Way Of Knowledge Half Marathon, which coincided with the 5th stage of the Vienna- to Budapest Supermarathon in 2000, received a Certficate of Acknowledgement for a decade’s athletic achievements from Professor Robert Frenkl, president of the Hungarian University Sports Federation and the representative of Timex Ltd. Hungary.

Edit Bérces’ athletic accomplishments between 2000 and 2009 include two European and two World championship titles and several Hungarian National championship victories in all ultramarathon events from100K to 24 hours. She set world best perfomances in 100 miles, 200 kilometers and 24 hours on the track. Bérces holds all Hungarian ladies’ records from 100 kilometers to 6 days. See more under Athletic SMilestones.
